We took a detour into Medicine Hat and found this historic Pottery District. I gather the clay here was perfect for turning into pottery and many historic crocks and dishes were created here, access to the railroad brought the products all across North America. After the Factory shut, it stood vacant for many years fully intact until it was turned into a Heritage site and Museum, and pottery is once again being made here! Medalta Pottery was a cool site we all enjoyed.
