The Highlight of this leg of our Journey was our trip to the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller. This amazing place is the epicentre of Dinosaur research and fossil excavation in Canada. The museum is incredible with unbelievable displays of fossils bones and replicas. Walking through all the eras of paleontology and beyond. Sadie and Holden did two classes, one on casting, where they made plaster casts from actual fossils and an excavation experience where they uncovered actual fossils from the earth. We spent a lot of hours there and we all enjoyed it immensely, even though I made Grandpa Bert climb up the the observation deck!
